VOIS Cyprus representatives met with Asim Akansoy, parliamentarian for the CTP political party.

Earlier this morning, VOIS Cyprus representatives met with Asim Akansoy, parliamentarian for the CTP political party. This meeting was also attended by Enver Tekiner, the President of the Youth branch of the CTP.

After giving the VOIS representatives a tour of the TRNC parliament, we sat down for an intense session where we agreed that the challenges foreign students face are real and immediate. We elaborated on the increase in housing prices, to which he promised to work together with us to draft a proposal to be submitted to parliament for discussion. He also highlighted the importance of international students to the local economy and socio-political life of the TRNC, calling for greater collaboration. We ended the meeting committing to continuously meet and work together to address the issues that students face.
