VOIS Cyprus met with the board members of YODAK

On March 24, 2021, a VOIS Cyprus Delegation met with some board members from YÖDAK (the Higher Education Planning, Evaluation, Accreditation and Coordination Council of the TRNC) to discuss pertinent issues related to the studies and challenges of international students in North Cyprus.

We delivered a letter consisting of the major issues that the international student community are faced with, as well as issues related to their studies, including larger supervision on universities and agents, the issue of accreditation of some universities, and problems with quarantine for international students, among others.

We proposed the formation of a Committee that can work on the solution of those issues and others, that consists of VOIS Delegates, YÖDAK officials and other stakeholders.

We believe that the meeting was very fruitful, as we were also promised full cooperation and more steps to be taken in a week or two.
